The RDC adopts a consistent editorial process based on parameters of scientificity and integrity.

In this sense, we are inspired by COPE's guide to good editorial practices to establish the guidelines listed below:

  1. a) RECEIPT OF INFORMATION

Information of acts that violate our scientific integrity guidelines must be reported to the email revista@cade.gov.br or to the coordination member Isabela Ferraz: isabela.ferraz@cade.gov.br, so that the editorial team can become aware and investigate the facts described.

  1. B) ADVERSARY PROCEEDING AND FAIR HEARING

The information will be archived if there is no violation of the guidelines.

Otherwise, the author will be asked to provide an explanation within twenty (20) days, which may be extended upon request.

  1. c) JUDGMENT

Once the explanation has been received, the Editor-in-Chief will judge the information of violation of the scientific integrity guidelines within thirty (30) days.

In all cases, the decision will be sent by email to the author, who may request, via email, the review of the decision.

  1. d) PUNISHMENTS

If the violation of the scientific integrity guidelines is confirmed, the Editor-in-Chief may apply the following sanctions to the author(s), individually or cumulatively:

  • Warning about the behavior;
  • Publication of news or editorial on the issue;
  • Formal communication of the fact to the home institution or funding agency;
  • Suspension or exclusion of the reviewer or editor;
  • Formal retraction of the published article;
  • Prohibition of new submissions for a certain period;
  • Formal communication of the case to the relevant investigation authorities.
